The Ring of Pietroassa

Well I found something rather classical that I thought would be similar enough to the normal links I post to attract attention, although technically its a torc-like necklace.

The Ring of Pietroassa

The ring is a "a gold Torc-like necklace found in a ring barrow in Pietroassa" which is now in Romania.  It looks to be formed in a simple ring, the two ends reinforced with bound with thin wire and formed into a hook and eye to hold it shut around someones neck.

It bears a runic inscription, which sadly got damaged soon after it was discovered, but has been subject to a number of reconstructions suggesting its of a religious nature as opposed to a personal item.
