Wyred Slave

Probably one of the best collar related experiences I've had so far is dealing with Wyred Slave they're a small business based in the UK who manufacture steel rope collars (and cuffs).  They're the first I saw doing it (although they may not be the first) and do a range of thicknesses, held together by tension locks (that can be locking or not).  Most importantly they also do PVC coated collars, meaning those of us with metal sensitivity can more easily wear them, and they look subtle and classy in almost any situation, and also really hot and subby in others :)

(Okay I have to admit a bias here, the short version of the mushy story is that my Sir ordered me a collar from there, and while he wasn't looking I snuck in a second order of some extras and mailed them to get them to link it to the first order and post it along at the same time... but they didn't just post it, oh no, they wrapped everything in black paper and ribbons with a note whose wording I gave them, and kept me up to date on how everything was going at every step of the way.  Their attention to detail, customer service (including excellent sizing advice) and collars are just top notch and I can't recommend them enough)

As mentioned above they do both plain steel rope collars, as well as PVC coated (in black or red) as well as fitted O-rings, just recently they've started doing more obviously padlockable steel rope collars, which are an interesting addition for those who want the less subtle look.

Also locking cuffsLeads/leasheslocking belts! (thats a new one on me) even ownership tags (see the The Ownership & Possession Manifesto for more) to put on those restraints, and laser engraving on just about anything you can shake a stick at.  Seriously just go and poke about their site its full of cool stuff.

I can offer a personal recommendation of their collars as comfortable for extended wear, they have a very slight weight that's easy to get used to, warm up to body temperature quite rapidly and sit nicely so they can be slept or bathed in.  If fitted with enough slack (or an O-ring, or leash...) offer D-types and tops an excellent grabbing point for fingers, they're also subtle enough to blend in as necklaces if required :)  As discussed above the PVC coated ones feature a length of PVC coated steel rope (so no reaction there) and an aluminium lock body that sits on the back of the neck (that I've had no reaction to).

Okay I'm done fangirling now, normal service will be resumed in the next link
